Many thanks to everyone who has already submitted a proposal for the 2009 UC Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) which will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, June 16 and 17, 2009, at UC Davis.
In response to several requests, the deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to Friday, February 27, 2009, so if you would like to make a presentation, there is still time to submit a proposal.
This year's theme is "Focus on Security", and for this year only, UCCSC will be combined with the popular every-other-year UC Davis IT Security Symposium. The merged event will feature hands-on labs, lectures, and presentations provided by University and industry experts; campus and Office of the President reports; the Sautter Award announcements; as well as social networking opportunities.
For information about submitting proposals for presentations, demonstrations, tutorials, or hands-on labs, please visit the UCCSC 2009 website at http://uccsc2009.ucdavis.edu/proposals.cfm. Thanks to the successful recruitment of event sponsors, the conference registration fee will be waived for all presenters. Once selected, presenters will be provided with more information about fee waivers.
