Laurels for Berkeley Continuity Planning Tool

Business continuity planning at the University of California, Berkeley got a boost with the latest release of the Berkeley Continuity Planning Tool (BCPT) in June 2007. BCPT, a web-based tool tailored specifically for higher education, helps departments prepare a plan to quickly resume operations following a disaster or any unexpected interruption. Under its former name, Restarting Berkeley, BCPT won this year's Larry L. Sautter Golden Award, and the 2007 National Association of College and University Business Officers Innovation Award. New director of information technology at University Relations

The newly installed University Relations--Information Technology Director Kevin Fong oversees a unit that provides the campus's diverse advancement community with such centralized services as strategic planning, systems administration, and programming. Current projects include implementing a business intelligence and data warehousing solution to support the current fundraising campaign, and migrating the Campuswide Alumni/Development System (CADS) to a new application and platform. Calling all Berkeley Drupal users, hackers, and fans — the Berkeley Drupal Users Group wants you!

Drupal is an open-source Content Management System that makes it easy for users to create and manage sophisticated websites. The Berkeley Drupal Users Group (BDUG) is a group of Drupal enthusiasts of all levels that has been meeting monthly since April 2007. BDUG meetings provide a way for campus Drupal users to connect with each other and is a great place to match up people who need Drupal work with people offering Drupal services. September 10, 2007.
