Sautter Award recipients will be announced in an award ceremony at the annual UC Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) — hosted this year at UC Davis, June 16–17. March 6, 2009.
IST invites all Berkeley campus faculty and staff to attend a week-long open house event to kick off the opening of The Scholar's Workstation's Technology Store for Departments. Located in the MLK Jr. Student Union, the new walk-in store will supplement the online services offered by TSW. March 2-6, 2009, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. February 28, 2009.
Effective spring 2009, the Scholar's Workstation will become a part of the Lower Sproul Plaza Student Union retail area operated by the ASUC and its campus bookstore agent, Follett. TSW @ the Cal Student Store will have a new retail space for all individual sales, and a separate dedicated location to serve campus institutional/departmental sales. December 5, 2008.
JR Schulden, who, for the last year, has been serving as interim director for IST–Application Services, has accepted the position as Application Services Director, effective November 1, 2008. December 1, 2008.
In January 2009, after nearly 12 years at UC Berkeley, IST-Client Services Director Helen Norris will be joining California State University, Sacramento, as its Associate Vice President of Administrative Computing Services. November 25, 2008.
Effective January 5, 2009, Dr. Michael Mundrane will join UC Berkeley as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Information Services and Technology. Michael comes to UC Berkeley after 13 years in technology leadership positions at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. November 7, 2008.
